MOONSHINE LIMITED is an independent and privately-owned label since 2012, Makers of Whiskey & Moonshine for rebels, explorers, and adventurers.
A Portuguese micro-company with a small international team and big dreams, the good folks at MOONSHINE LIMITED gave birth to the first local Artisan Handcrafted Small Batch Whiskey and Moonshine.
A word from the producer: “Purposefully matured just under three years, this aged spirit drink cannot be legally called whiskey, because, under European Union law, whiskey is the only spirit that can only obtain its name after a preset number of three years and not when its maker finds it to be the right time to bottle. We obey the law but we do not have to agree with it.
With this Moonshine Single Cask, we wish to show that our southern European terroir with Atlantic influence and warm tempered climate throughout the year; of hot days and cool nights (daily thermal variations ranging typically from 15oC / 60oF to 40oC /105oF,
Additionally, We use different grains and recipes, oak of different provenance and toasts, and explore the unique characteristics of hand-selected casks and how these interact with our terroir and exceptional limestone pure water.
